An honest comparison
Kybella vs CoolSculpting for the Chin
Both Kybella and CoolSculpting permanently reduce fat under the chin, and both work. They get there very differently. Kybella is a series of small injections of deoxycholic acid, a molecule your body already uses to break down fat. CoolSculpting is cryolipolysis, an applicator that freezes fat cells so the body clears them over the following weeks.
RejuvLV retired Kybella from its menu in 2026 and has never offered CoolSculpting. We keep this comparison because guests still ask, and because the honest answer for a double chin usually starts with a different question: is it fat, or is it skin? Here is the straight comparison, and what Maria recommends instead.

How we decide at RejuvLV
Precision over preference.
Under the chin, the first question is what is creating the fullness. Soft fat responds to fat reduction; skin laxity does not, however the fat is treated. That distinction, plus Maria's 20 years of clinical experience, is why every chin plan at RejuvLV starts with an assessment rather than a product.
With Kybella retired, Maria's current options for the chin are BodySculp, a non-invasive laser fat reduction, when fat is the driver, and PDO threads when laxity is. If your anatomy genuinely favors a treatment RejuvLV does not carry, we will say so at your consultation. Sometimes the honest answer is nothing at all.
Questions
Frequently asked
It depends on what is creating the fullness. Discrete, soft fat pockets respond beautifully to Kybella's precision. Larger pinchable pads can suit CoolSculpting's applicator. If laxity is the driver, neither is the right first step, which is exactly what a consultation sorts out.
