RF Microneedling vs Laser Resurfacing

An honest comparison

RF Microneedling vs Laser Resurfacing

These are the two heavyweights of skin remodeling, and RejuvLV offers both, so this comparison has no thumb on the scale. RF microneedling (we use the Pixel8) delivers radiofrequency energy through fine needles directly into the dermis, remodeling from the inside. Fractional laser resurfacing works from the surface down, vaporizing microscopic columns of skin so fresh tissue replaces them.

Because we carry both, the question is never which is better in general. It is which one is right for your skin, your concern, and your calendar.

How we decide at RejuvLV

Precision over preference.

Maria's shorthand: if the concern lives in the deeper layers, scarring, laxity, texture you can feel, RF microneedling earns its keep. If the concern is what you can see on the surface, pigment, sun damage, crepey fine lines, laser resurfacing usually wins.

Plenty of guests ultimately benefit from both in sequence, and some need neither yet. Because we offer both, the recommendation is driven by your skin, not by the machine we happen to own.

Questions

Frequently asked

RF microneedling is usually our first choice for rolling and boxcar acne scars because it remodels the dermis where scar tissue is tethered, and it is friendly to more skin tones. Deep or surface-textured scarring sometimes benefits from adding laser later.
